Going vegan will leave many perplexed. But it has been the one thing that I am certain has bought me immense happiness, balance and capacity to show more love. I am more peaceful and more patient. One year ago I suffered vertigo, headaches, mood swings, hormonal fluctuations, acne, and skin sensitivities, plus some. My skin would heat up and literally shed off my face. My body was suffering from acid overload. Now a year on and the changes I have made are that I am now 100% plant based rather than just vegetarian, I make sure I eat 80% raw, I don’t drink alcohol, and my caffeine intake has gone from 6 espresso shots a day to 3 a week max if that (not perfect yet but getting there). Everyday I have a coldpressed juice or make a big green smoothie or both. Everyday is about nourishment and not deprivation. I have energy, I feel little to no stress and I can manage my 4 children with no family support in a big city. My iron and B12 levels are super high and I consume only plant foods with no supplements at all. So that’s my vegan story. The best thing I ever did for my health, happiness and my family.
